• Allocate time for each section of the paper (for every mark you should not spend more than 1.5 minutes on the question)– this helps you pace yourself during the paper and ensure you can finish the paper within the allocated time.
• Show all workings for the question (even if you used a calculator) – error carry forward points can save you the pain of losing the marks for an entire question.
• Visualize the problem by using diagrams, models, or graphs to help you see it in a way you can comprehend.
• Never leave a question empty
• Be neat – keep your workings legible (because if the examiner cannot understand your workings, they cannot give you the mark)
